Vivid Movie – Kylie on the Set
So you are probably wondering why you haven't heard much from me lately, that's because in addition to directing my first movie for DVSX now titled Twisted as Fuck I have been co-starring with Brianna Banks in PT's (Paul Thomas) next big Vivid film. Yes, film. There are a few features each year still shot on film and PT and Vivid are usually the ones who win all the AVN Awards in the film categories.
This film is tentatively titled Magazine, although it will more-than-likely change. It is a story of a contract star (Brianna), a reporter from an AVN-style magazine (Marcos Leon) and a porn star making her comeback in a movie (Kylie Ireland). The story is loosely based on AVN Magazine and I say loosely because none of the characters at AVN are quite as out there as in this movie but the basic idea is the same. It's harder for me to envision it since I actually KNOW everyone at AVN so I keep putting actual faces to the characters in the script, which makes it a little creepy for me. As the story rolls on I meet and fall in love with said reporter and the movie covers some of the trials and tribulations of dating a porn star.
The funny thing is that in a way, this script sort of parallels my life. You see, in the movie the porn star dates the "AVG" reporter and falls in love, eventually marrying him. In my life, I started dating Eli Cross about 4 years ago, and when we first got together he ran AVN Magazine. Strange.
I have 3 scenes in the film, one is the "comeback" scene which is a group scene, including my DP, with Barry Scott, Jerry and Joey (Joey is a girl) in a camping setting. The second is a passionate wild fuck with the reporter, Marcos Leon, and the 3rd is a BJ/masturbation in a video store, also with Marcos.
We actually started this film last week, my first day was last Thursday and we shot at a strange woodsy compound up in the "mountains". I was first up, arriving at 9 am to go into makeup. I have hired Jerry, Barry and Joey as a director but this was my first time working IN a scene with any of them. The scene, being that it was shot on film took about 3 hours to shoot, the entire time se were all in the bright sunshine outside. Needless to say, my fair skin got sunburned.
I was supposed to do my sex scene, some connecting dialogue, then I was done, Brianna and Kurt Lockwood were scheduled to shoot the second scene. Then Kurt no-showed. Yup, that's right, no-showed. Not even a courtesy call saying he was sick or anything. Just didn't show up. NOT COOL. I stepped up to the plate and volunteered to swap scenes, since Marcos was there anyway for dialogue too and shoot our scene, my second scene, that evening. 2 scenes in one day. Let me tell you, this is not all that unusual but for me well, I hadn't done an actual sex scene on film since last July, let alone 2 in one day.
The scene with Marcos was quite a surprise. Not that I thought he would suck or anything but it is always a pleasant surprise to really find someone you like to work with that much. I had actually worked in a scene with him before, he was in my gangbang, but that hardly counts. We have also played poker together on many occasions at the regular poker nights at Nicki Hunter's house. But given the circumstances, this was our first time together, and we had a blast. Kurt Lockwood showed up for his makeup scene with Brianna at least, although not in top form from what I heard. I was surprised they didn't just replace him altogether for pulling a stunt like that.
Wednesday, more dialogue. Well, sort of. I actually had ONE LINE. They were shooting at this creepy weird castle house up underneath the Hollywood sign the same place we shot 'Timeless' back in was it, 1998? Anyway, they hadn't even gotten off one shot when I arrived at 1pm, they were running so far behind. Marcos and I both were there for the "premiere" of the porn movie in the movie. We said our lines, did a cute little acting thing (you know, all cutesy, like we are falling in love) as we walked out then went home. I was on the set for only 6 hours.
Today is the final day of the film, Marcos and I have to shoot some exteriors, then wind up in an adult store. Since we are still in the beginning stages of our hot and heavy romance, I blow him in the store, on the sly, while masturbating with a glass dildo. Or, the story continues. I just got home. In one piece, barely. On the way to the shoot I was on the tail end of a 3-car accident. I saw brakelights, stepped on the brakes, realized I wasn't going to stop in time, tried to swerve and slammed into the car in front of me. My front quarterpanel is crunched, as is the hood of my Audi. :( Bumper is fucked, headlights smashed, hood won't open, steering fluid in a big puddle on the 101 Freeway. Sigh. I am fine, but I fear that my entire paycheck from the Vivid show will be going to pay for my car. There go the insurance rates.
Needless to say, after severly causing a good-old-fashioned California sig-alert, swapping info with the other 2 owners and managing to get my Audi of the freeway and onto a side street, dealing with insurance companies and gettting towed...I was 2 hours late to the set. Thankfully Showtime had re-scheduled because that would have been a nightmare.
We shot the scenes, the dialogue and the bj/masturbation; PT yelled at an extra, telling him repeatedly that he was a bad actor (he was) but we were done nice and early. Bryn came to pick me up. On the way home the adrenaline finally wore off. I cried. I felt better. Now I am going to go watch MST3K because it is brainless. I need brainless.
